Kristiania Lech is a perfect winter retreat from the urban rush, right
in the middle of the Alps. The hotel is located very close to the city
centre, with a 5 minute walking distance to the ski lifts, the pistes
and the beginning of the cross-country ski run. For more than 30 years
the Ski Hotel has combined fresh creative ideas with Austrian tradition
for the perfect winter escape into a private world of luxury in Austria!
Othmar Schneider brought a slalom gold medal and a downhill silver medal
back to Lech from the Olympic winter games in Oslo in 1952, later he ran
ski schools in Boyne Mountain, Michigan and in Portillo, Chile. On his
return to Lech he built the renowned resort hotel Kristiania. Thus, it
is natural that the Kristiania has been one of a kind for service and
style. It’s exquisite individuality and unique charm has made the
Kristiania what it is today.
The Kristiania embodies the magnificent union of precious alpine
traditions, modern technology and a contemporary perspective on living
and lifestyles. Not only do guest rent a room at the Kristiania, but

several paintings and pictures by well-known artists of the turn of the
century as well as contemporary works await them. The dream of uniting
art and life, an atmosphere in which guest feels they are living with
their own art collection. Each room is the location to enjoy art
privately and individualistically, it's a new way to present art and
it’s one of a kind.
Through the window of each room the world seems invitingly close, yet at
a comfortable distance, providing privacy guest can feel and touch. The
Kristiania's rooms and suites overlook either the vista of Lech or
peaceful mountains; all rooms and suites rally sophisticated Austrian
decor with subtle traditional influences. The 30 rooms and suites
combine the highest levels of comfort and innovation with exceptional
standards of personal service. Throughout the bathrooms at the
Kristiania clean lines and subtle colors combine with simple stylish
design. Understated luxury and good use of light create a sense of
tranquility and serenity.

works, while guest enjoy discreet elegance, the stock in trade at the
Kristiania is perceptible at the moment the door opens. Membership in La
Confrèrie des Chevaliers du Tastevin and Johansens is both a challenge
and a hallmark at the Kristiania.
The Bar and the Hall are most inviting to meet friends; the focus of the
extremely well stocked cellar are malts, there guest will find light
lunches and tea served during the day, before dinner refreshing
aperitifs or a relaxing good night cup later in the evening. At
Kristiania they want guest to feel at home while providing an
unforgettable experience.
