The Hotel Metropole Brussels, the only remaining hotel of the 19th
century in Brussels, is marvelously well located right in the historical
center of the European capital, just a few steps away from the
"Grand-Place", the "Bourse" and the "Theatre de la Monnaie" and close to
the city's most exciting shopping thoroughfare of Brussels. It is
notable for the quality of its service and its internal decoration. The
main entrance is decorated in French Renaissance style, the reception
hall in Empire style, and some rooms in Art Deco style. In April 2002,
the Council of Monuments and Sites of the Brussels-Capital region has
protected the Metropole Hotel's façade, as well as the ground floor.
Through the years, the Metropole has offered its beautiful settings for
the shooting of many prestigious movies.
The Hotel Metropole Brussels offers 298 rooms of which 15 are suites; a
bar called "Le 19ème" with an elegant, refined and relaxing atmosphere
in a timeless decor; and a gastronomic restaurant The "Alban Chambon"
with sumptuous Italian baroque decor, and classic and innovative
cuisine; and, finally, the "Cafe Metropole" with its unique open terrace
year round.
Place de Brouckère, right at the heart of the historical centre of the
Capital of Europe, just steps from the Grand Place, the Bourse and the
Theatre de la Monnaie, and close to the city's most exciting shopping
thoroughfare. The Midi-Zuid train station is less than 1 Km away (with
access to Eurostar). The Brussels Airport is just 12 Km away.
