Within a few yards of the famous, statue-lined Charles Bridge in the
Czech Republic, Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa is an opulent luxury hotel
in a building that dates back to the 16th century.
The historic districts of Prague are often described as storybook.
Playful Baroque architectural treasures stand beside gargoyle-laden
Gothic edifices and just across a cobblestoned street from an Art
Nouveau masterpiece. And looking down on it all, Prague Castle. Not far
from the castle lies a Baroque landmark with history dating back to the
16th century. And, wouldn't you know it, it happens to be Alchymist
Grand Hotel & Spa.
That history translates into an opulence and ornate decoration fit for a
king. The rooms at Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa are stately in size, at
270 sq. ft. at a minimum, and equipped with all the modern amenities,
from plasma TVs to marble bathrooms.
When you're not taking in the historic sites, treat yourself (and your
partner?) to a luxurious massage in one of the spa's four private
treatment rooms. It may not be a cultural experience, but hey, those
sites have been around for hundreds of years, so they'll still be there
tomorrow.
