About Saint-Emilion: |
|
A
wonderful sort of open-air museum, the medieval town Saint Emilion,
listed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, will surprise you with its
monolithic church (the largest in Europe), more than 70 hectares of
underground galleries (some of which are used as wine cellars), and
steep, charming streets.
You have the choice of visiting historic underground monuments, tasting
wine at numerous châteaux, or simply strolling around the beautiful
village of Saint Emilion !
Saint-Emilion is, of course, famous for its great growth wines. The
property's staff is able to arrange appointments for you at the most
prestigious estates where you will be welcomed by the château owner,
receive a guided tour of the cellars, and then taste the fabulous
wine...
Introductory wine tasting courses are also organised either at the
hotel or in conjunction with a wine school in Saint Emilion. |
