Executive Place...a fabulous renovation for the 26 rooms and suites of
the Hôtel Gray d'Albion's 9th floor. The Gray d'Albion in the centre of
Cannes has been undergoing section-by-section renovation work for
several years now. These new improvements and modernisations on the top
floor at this 4-star hotel are called the Executive Place and continue
the trend that included the launch of the restaurant in 2006. The
renovation uses the same chic colour scheme as this wonderful gourmet
restaurant (cream to chocolate, caramel to beige and pastel-white to
golden sand), bringing a multi-faceted, warm and casual ambience.
Finally, the hotel's private beach, just one minute from the hotel, also
features Libanese food in winter.
The 9th floor Executive rooms have been redesigned in detail including
exotic Wengé woodwork, combined with glass, carpets and materials, with
Plexi-glass and metal furniture, and Philippe Starck accessories for the
finishing touches. Curtains filter the daylight, enhancing the discreet
sophistication and quiet elegance. Plenty of luxury has gone into the
layout and detail. The Dream sleeper is an excellent example of this: a
triple-size bed for two (or one), the first on the French Riviera. Rooms
feature LCD TVs, Internet (20 minutes free Wifi connection) as well as a
printer and fax machine on request. Finally, a personalised tea/coffee
kit (unlimited "Mariage Frères" tea & Malongo fair-trade coffee), an
individual ironing kit, a bottle of Norwegian Voss 33cl, a superb vase
of orchids and a basket of apples complete the rooms.
Hôtel Gray d'Albion is located in the heart of Cannes, near the
Croisette and the Palais des Festivals. The nearest airport is Nice
which is 30 minutes drive. The rest of the town centre can be reached in
less than 10 minutes on foot, there is also a taxi rank beside the
hotel.
