Two hundred and twenty yards away from the Mediterranean Sea and the
Promenade des Anglais, the Hi Hotel is a new concept that breaks away
from the traditional notions of luxury. Hi is the result of the
transformation of a 1930's building into a 38 room urban hotel in Nice,
designed by Matali Crasset, one of the leading young French designers. A
transformation of a 1930's building was the actual object of this modern
and lively transformation. Hi adopts another approach to hospitality
founded on mutuality, conviviality and open mindedness: a way of
defining luxury differently, so as to make it more accessible. Here is a
daring, innovative hotel which offers comfortable room concepts to
enable one look at life from a different perspective. The bar is
situated at the heart of the hotel. It is structured around a balloon
raised gondola, light and impressive, that evokes a modern alcove. It
organizes space and plays with light. In the evening, thanks to playful,
flickering lights, it becomes rather festive. The interior of the
gondola is most welcoming especially for DJ evening parties and for
video projections, by artists from the Laurent Garnier label and
F-communications design.
The Bio canteen serves organic food. Simple and healthy dishes will
invite health conscious guests around a host table or into the patio
garden where lush vegetation abounds. Hi is conceived with well being in
mind: a resin surfaced hammam with a massage room where soft music
completes relaxation. The Hi's high point is without a doubt its open
terrace on the eighth floor where a swimming pool and views of Nice, the
Mediterranean Sea and the Alps are especially dazzling.
The Hi Hotel is well-located just a few steps from the Promenade des
Anglais, beaches and the main tourist attractions of the city. Nice
airport, Côte d'Azur is 10 minutes away by bus.
