This is a story of a resurrection: two 18th-century buildings with
beautiful façades have been thrown together and deeply converted for
21st-century comfort. The lobby flows into the sitting area on a vast
expanse of finely striped rich-red carpet studded with apricot-plush
bucket chairs paying homage to a huge heart shaped love couch. Luscious
antiques sit here and there and a great plane of glass at the back is
filled with the greenery of a small cleverly-sloped indoor garden with
its fountain.
The guest rooms are ethereal, soberly furnished in French style with
delicate patterns and antiques. From the smallest to the grandest the
rooms are elegant and inviting with a sophisticated but welcoming
atmosphere. Refinement and comfort are what you would expect from a
charming hotel and you will certainly not be disappointed.
Hotel d'Orsay is located near enough to the city centre to give guests
all the conveniences required during a visit to Paris while at the same
time preserving a cool and relaxed atmosphere. The Orsay museum is few
steps away whilst the Louvre and the Tuileries gardens are a five
minutes stroll over the bridge. Refinement and comfort are what you
would expect from a charming hotel and you will certainly not be
disappointed.
