A hotel with character right in the heart of Paris, in the 6th
arrondissement; an authentic refuge for artists. The "Hotel des
Academies et des Arts" re-opened its doors in 2007 after a complete
renovation. Fortunate guests of this establishment will discover, once
passing through its doors, a unique universe, dominated by the presence
of charming sculptures - works of brilliant subtlety and humor - by
artists Jerôme Mesnager and Sophie de Watrigant.
Every one of the twenty rooms of the "Hotel des Academies et des Arts"
has been completely renovated and offers refined and cozy comfort.
Classic or Art Deco style, all the accommodations are clear reflections
of the artistic tones set by Mesnager and Watrigant; they contain, as
well, all contemporary comforts. The Hotel des Academies et des Arts
facilities are completed with a library, a bar and a lounge with "home
theater", in which artists' videos are projected. A continental
breakfast is served from 7.15 am until noon. You can enjoy it either in
your room or in one of the different areas of the lobby (in the library,
the small Bistrot or the Art Video room). It consists of a tea selection
from Palais des Thés, Illy espresso, bread and pastries, fresh orange
juice, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, and Echire butter. Finally, the
owners Laurent and Charlotte Inchauspé, have innovated once again by
opening a tearoom in the hotel — serving macaroons by Pierre Hermé and
gourmet teas from Palais des Thés.
Hotel des Academies et des Arts is situated in an ideal location, steps
away from the Luxembourg Garden and Place Saint-Sulpice. The street in
which it is located exudes tranquility and charm. The nearby Vavin
underground station provides easy access to the main tourist attractions
of this beautiful city.
