Loisinord, the first of this type in France: downhill and slalom on a mat 35 m wide and 300 m high are on the programme!!

• Gosnay and its charterhouses
A community of 1509 inhabitants located in the Pas-de-Calais, Gosnay has two charterhouses, which is particularly unusual. According to legend, they were built to silence the evil spirits!
• The Mont Ste-Marie Charterhouse
This convent of religious sisters was built in the XIVth century, at the request of Thierry d`Hérichon, bishop of Arras.
• The Bailiwick of Aire Sur-La-Lys
This former guardhouse in renaissance style was constructed in 1600. Today it contains the tourist office.
• Arras
This town is renowned worldwide for its two great squares, an architectural ensemble that is unique in Europe. Their style is uniform but not monotonous: 155 dwellings, dating from the XVII th to the XVIII the century, punctuate this ensemble of 17,000 m2 with their columns.
• The Château d`Olhain
Olhain comes to us from the early Middle Age as an authentic example of the “fortified castle of the plains of Northern Europe”. It was built about 1200 by the knight Hugues d`Olhain with the aim of defending the hamlet.
• The Belfry of Béthune
Isolated in the centre of the Grand-Place, the belfry was constructed in wood, then in sandstone. The 37 bells in the carillon sound out the usual airs for the local children.

• The Fontinettes Boat Lift
This facility, unique in France, was created in 1887. In 20 minutes, it lifted fully loaded barges through a height of 13 m!
