In the department of Charente-Maritime, not far from Cognac, the Chateau
de Crazannes is located on the left bank of the river Charente, in a
peaceful park with age-old trees. The castle, a listed monument of the
end of the 14th century, is one of the oldest homes of the Saintonge
area.
Today, restored and elegantly arranged with period furniture, the
Crazannes Castle possesses unique chimneys and extremely original
sculpted beams. The bedrooms are of high standard.
Nearby, you will find the famous vineyards, prestigious cellars and
distilleries of Cognac and Bordeaux, Romanesque churches, historical
towns - Saint-Emilion, Cognac, golf courses, and the magnificent beaches
of the Atlantic coast.
