Completely renovated in 2004, the New Hotel Vieux Port, located in the
city centre of Marseille, surprises guests with its unique and ethnic
style. Each floor of the New Hotel Vieux Port, which owes its name to
its fantastic location facing the “Vieux Port” (old port), transports
guests to beautiful and exotic faraway lands inciting their imagination
with names laden with images and perfume scents. The ethnic themes of
each room are diverse, such as “Arabian Nights”, “Black Africa”, “Land
of the Rising Sun”, “Veracruz”, and “Pondicherry”.
This establishment offers a total of 42 rooms and suites which, as with
each floor, present varied ethnic styles. Rooms enjoy individual and
distinct decoration as well as comforting spaciousness and a refined
atmosphere. As should be expected, all have been endowed with brand new
facilities, in accordance with the expectations of today’s travelers.
Their fantastic bathrooms are sure to make an impression, as well as
their meticulously selected fabrics and furniture. The facilities are
designed to provide guests the utmost comfort, with two meeting rooms,
marvelously bathed in natural sunlight, and one hall. There is also a
public pay lot parking located at a modest distance from the hotel,
which visitors with vehicles will be able to take advantage of.
The nucleus of this Mediterranean metropolis shelters the New Hotel
Vieux Port. Directly in front of it, one finds not only the previously
mentioned “old port”, but also the Chamber of Commerce and a multitude
of restaurant, leisure and cultural options. Boutiques, restaurants,
bars, discothèques, the National Opera House, the La Criée and Gymnase
theatres... the choices are endless. Nearby, we also find La Canebière,
the main artery of Marseille, as well as a practically located subway
station which within five minutes transports passengers to the Saint
Charles train station.
