Au Coin du Feu is situated in the Alpine town of Megève. Far from the
city life, this friendly chalet, invites you to discover a new kind of
mountain living, in quiet surroundings. When you enter the inn, a
friendly staff and a crackling fire coax you into the light wood-paneled
lounge, surpassing all expectations you might have of a cozy lodge. The
beautiful, rustic, interior decoration of this lovely place has been
collected by its Owners Jean-Louis et Jocelyne from old farmhouses. Old
wood which perfectly matches the Provençal fabrics used is a basic
decorative element in each of the 23 rooms with elegant interiors,
special places where everything is designed for the guests' comfort and
well-being. Individually decorated, each one has its unique feature,
such as a bed perched on a mezzanine, or a daybed hidden in a curtained
nook.
Tea time is important at this really romantic and quite special small
retreat. Around the blazing fire you can find yourself ordering
thousand-flavored teas between two hearty pieces of bilberry tart. Good
eating is important too. The hotel’s restaurant, the Saint-Nicholas,
attracts Megève regulars who come here for its simple but delicious
cuisine. Considered one of the best in the region, guests can taste
traditional and inventive cuisine, tinged here and there by local
flavors. So that anything is left out, guests can ease their sore
muscles at the spa, in Les Fermes de Marie, after a whole day of ski.
