The Manoir de Restigne, in pure XVII century style, is located in the
center of the verdant Loire valley, nestled in the heart of the
Bourgueillois vineyard 1 hour and 30 minutes from Paris (by TGV), 10
minutes from the A85 highway (Port Boulet exit), 5 Km from the historic
village of Bourgueillois, the place where the French Royals built their
hunting lodges and summer homes.
The Manoir de Restigne is made up of a building flanked by two lodges
and two low wings, an orangery and a tower within the park. The Manoir
has been completely renovated to preserve its authenticity and the
history of north-west Touraine. The Manoir offers the facilities and
service of a 4 star hotel yet with a BandB-chambre d'hotes welcoming.
The Manor house of Restigné is an inspired place. Inspired by a rigorous
respect in the beauty, by a respectful admiration of the work of the
last centuries.
Inspired also by an elegant and feminine aestheticism, everything in
sharpness and in correctness. François-Michel Duguet is a delicate and
requiring man, who likes conjugating harmoniously the colours, the
styles, the periods, the purified lines or on the contrary the baroque
style, in a fertile polyphony, a successful conjugation of comfort and
well-being. Manoir de Restigné allies marvelously the elegance and the
comfort which is very rare for a castle!
