The Colombi Hotel was built in 1958 yet nothing will remind the guests
of the late fifties and sixties as the hotel has been remodeled many
times since then. The Colombi Hotel is situated in the heart of Freiburg
next to the beautiful Colombi Park with its little castle and close to
all major sightseeing points.
The rooms are tastefully and individually furnished and all of them
equipped with modern amenities. Guests may relax and renew their
energies in the splendid pool area with a beautiful and large heated
swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and solarium.
Guests can choose from three luxurious restaurants. Pine-wood paneling,
festively set and decorated tables, and enchanting fabrics decorate the
Zirbelstube restaurant, in which the Colombi Hotel serve culinary
delicatessen. Warm red and green as well as the tiled stove, which is
being heated in winter time and the wood paneling, convert coziness and
"Gemutlichkeit" in the Falkenstube - formerly a "Wine Stube" in the
historic center of Freiburg, today completely and originally integrated
into the Colombi restaurant. As in the Zirbelstube, the Colombi Hotel
serves fine French and international cuisine in the Falkenstube. A few
years ago an original old Stube from the 18th century was added to the
Colombi restaurants and is considered the jewel of the three
restaurants. Regional black forest specialties are being served in the
Hans-Thoma-Stube, named after Hans Thoma, a well known painter of the
black forest.
