Park Hotel Villa Grazioli is situated in a spectacular 16th century
villa surrounded by parkland and a delightful Italian garden in Frascati,
near Rome, on a hilltop sloping down towards the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The villa, commissioned by Cardinal Carafa, was completed in 1580.
Numerous cardinals and aristocratic families resided in the villa over
the centuries before the property was purchased by the Duke Pio Grazioli
in 1843, whose heirs lived in the villa for over a century. After a
period of post war abandon, the building was acquired by the Company
Villa Grazioli who carried out extensive restoration work concerning
both the villa and the gardens.
On entering the Park Hotel Villa Grazioli, one is met by a quite
magnificent display of frescoes by 17th and 18th century artists such as
Augusto Ciampelli, painters of the Bologna School and Gian Paolo
Pannini. Today, the frescoed salons and galleries of the Park Hotel
Villa Grazioli provide the incomparable venues for exclusive meetings
and wedding receptions of international importance.
The hotel's guest bedrooms, distributed in the Villa, the Limonaia and
the Paggeria are luxuriously appointed with exquisite Louis XVI
furniture, and equipped with all the comforts of a modern 4 star hotel.
Park Hotel Villa Grazioli's "Acquaviva" Restaurant serves beautifully
presented Mediterranean cuisine accompanied by a selection of superb
regional wines.
