Created from an ancient fortress, Fortino Napoleonico is situated in a suggestive and enchanting position, among green woods and azure sea, in the most panoramic and tranquil part of the Conero Riviera.

At the sea’s edge with a view of two rock formations of incomparable beauty (‘Le Due Sorelle’) and the famous artistic jewel of the Santa Maria di Portonovo Romanic church, the Fortino is surrounded by a long, white-pebbled beach which contributes to make this corner of the Marche region one of the most loved and exclusive on the Adriatic coastline. A suggestive panorama and relaxing atmosphere are the prerogatives of this uncontaminated area.

The Fortino was transformed into a hotel in 1969 after a mammoth restoration and is ideal for a stay. The typical perimetrical “lighthouse” shape shows Napoleonic origins; in fact, the Viceroy of Italy, Eugenio di Beauharnais, had it built on the orders of Napoleon Bonaparte between 1811 and 1813.
