Created from an ancient fortress, Fortino Napoleonico is situated in a
suggestive and enchanting position, among green woods and azure sea, in
the most panoramic and tranquil part of the Conero Riviera.
At the sea’s edge with a view of two rock formations of incomparable
beauty (‘Le Due Sorelle’) and the famous artistic jewel of the Santa
Maria di Portonovo Romanic church, the Fortino is surrounded by a long,
white-pebbled beach which contributes to make this corner of the Marche
region one of the most loved and exclusive on the Adriatic coastline. A
suggestive panorama and relaxing atmosphere are the prerogatives of this
uncontaminated area.
The Fortino was transformed into a hotel in 1969 after a mammoth
restoration and is ideal for a stay. The typical perimetrical
“lighthouse” shape shows Napoleonic origins; in fact, the Viceroy of
Italy, Eugenio di Beauharnais, had it built on the orders of Napoleon
Bonaparte between 1811 and 1813.
In a private area of the garden in front of the sea, near the open-air
hydro-massage pool, “health professionals” alternate with energetic,
relaxing or anti-stress massages, beauty treatments for hands, face and
body…
The restaurant pays particular attention to detail and in summer guests
can enjoy the romantic terrace overlooking the enchanting Bay of
Portonovo; cuisine includes tasty Marche regional dishes, not only based
on fish, accompanied by a vast worldwide selection of wines from the
cellar. The Fortino Napoleonico is an ideal environment for important
business dealings and the organization to the smallest detail of the
sweetest moments of your life.
