Hotel Desiree features an advantaged setting at the tip of a crystal clear bay on the east side of the island of Elba, the island where Napoleon spent his last years after leaving France. The rooms are standard, very comfortable. All have a balcony and most of them look out to the beautiful bay. The apartments which are simply two rooms combined but without kitchen, are in two connecting buildings. Only some of the apartments have a view of the bay, the rest, and look over the front of the tennis courts, the swimming pool or in the back side looking out to the mountain.

Hotel Desiree has a private beach right in front and also on premises are two tennis courts and an impressive almost Olympic size swimming pool. An interesting amenity of this hotel not be overlooked, is “Paolo’s bar”, where Paolo the bar man, who has been working in the hotel for twenty years and is a proud member of the European association of bartenders, prepares some really outstanding cocktails, including the famous Mojito for which he uses only fresh mint leaves from his own private little garden!
