Small and exclusive all-suite hotel that enjoys a central location in
the heart of the pedestrian zone just three blocks north of the Duomo
and newly opened after an 18-month transformation. With only twelve
carefully crafted suites over four floors, this tranquil haven is
perfect for families, romantic couples and business guests. A few
judiciously placed pieces of classic artwork - such as architectural
drawings in the main hall, German romantic paintings in the suites, and
old botanic prints contribute great class and character to the modern
minimalist design throughout.
Each of the exclusive suites are identically designed and furnished.
Their uncluttered, sleek decor, smooth teak parquet floors, calm
off-white walls, soft beige furnishings and the occasional color accent
(among which include relaxing orange sofas and light blue throws on the
beds) provide the basis for an exclusive experience in the heart of
Florence. All suites are composed of a comfortable bedroom and living
room with a spacious bathroom and feature either a kitchenette or
fully-fitted kitchen. The furniture is mostly modern Italian designed
with some Philippe Starck pieces and the odd family antique. Personal
touches include fresh roses grown by the family and perfumed candles.
There is no breakfast room, but you can enjoy breakfast in the suite or
step out to the Robiglio cafè, reputed to have the best croissants and
pastries in Florence. Many choices exist for lunch and dinner, from the
romantic restaurants on the river with live music to typical informal
trattoria serving the city´s best cuisine. The hotel´s delivery service
can bring meals from a nearby restaurant or fresh ingredients up to your
room if you prefer to have an intimate night in.
Residence Hilda is located just 3 blocks away from the marvelous Duomo
and very close to the famous David by Michelangelo. Its location, right
in the centre, is perfect to fully enjoy the charming city of Florence
because everything is in walking distance. The area has plenty of
elegant boutiques, excellent cafés, restaurants and bars. The main
tourist spots such as the San Lorenzo Basilica, the Medici´s chapel and
the Uffizi Gallery can be easily reached on foot.
