Madison Hotel Paris
The Madison Hotel, in the Latin Quarter of Saint Germain-des-Prés, is a 4-star boutique hotel in a chic, contemporary style.
The Madison Hotel Paris with its 50 rooms and suites is located on the Left Bank opposite the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and a mere stone's throw from the Seine, the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay, and the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris.
The hotel rubs shoulders on the Boulevard Saint Germain with the Café de Flore and the Café de 2 Magots, at the heart of a quarter famed for its cafés, art galleries, museums, antique dealers and designer fashion boutiques.
The Madison Hotel Paris is also firmly at the heart of literary Paris... Albert Camus spent some time at the hotel in the spring of 1940, and it was here that he completed his existentialist novel "L'Etranger" (The Outsider). Perhaps his spirit still hovers somewhere...
The Madison Hotel is non smoking.
"My wife and I enjoyed staying at the Madison Hotel Paris during our stay. The hotel provided a very comfortable environment, quiet room and prompt and professional service. The Madison Hotel is centrally located to many places of interest in walking distances and several metro stations going everywhere if one knows how to use the Paris underground train system. Just note that many business are closed on Sunday and Monday. Thank you. "

"This is our second time staying in the St. Germain neighborhood and the Madison hotel was a perfect choice. Location, location, location! The Madison Hotel Paris is right on the Boulevard St. Germain. Main metro stop on the corner. Walking distance to Notre Dame, La Sainte Chapel, Musee d'Orsay, L"orangerie, the Louvre, etc. Also right next to great streets for restaurants and bars. The Madison Hotel Paris is very pretty and the rooms are well appointed. Good size rooms. Not huge but not tight. L'Occitane toiletries are a nice touch. The breakfast room is beautiful and the breakfast buffet was very good as well. Hot foods like eggs, sausage and bacon. Cold foods like yogurt, cereals, cold cuts, fruits, etc. The hot chocolate for breakfast is nice there as well. "

"The location was excellent with easy walking access to really good restaurants, Madison Hotel Paris was directly across the street from Le Deux Margo. The hotel staff was very good. Even the room itself was quite good. However, the bathroom set up was a bit below what we expected, especially the shower set up because it was difficult to take a shower without getting water on the bathroom floor. "

"We went to Paris for a short 2.5 day trip during our European vacation. It was our first time in Paris, and the staff at the Madison Hotel was most helpful. I would recommend getting one of the larger rooms, as the mid size room was comparable to a standard US hotel room. The room was clean and nice. The location was excellent as it was extremely close to a Metro station (you could slightly hear the train in the room, but well worth the convenience) and great shopping. "

"Very comfortable hotel in heart of Left Bank. Single rooms area all but well equipped and beds are fabulous. Pleasant, helpful staff. We paid about $400 dollars for our single rooms, all of which opened in an air shaft. Bigger rooms across the hall were much more attractive. "

"Location was perfect with lots of restaurants and bars and shops on the doorstep. This is a charming small hotel with friendly staff. The room we had was perfect with a view over the Boulevard and a little balcony that made the room light and airy. We loved the quirky little touches especially the stars in the ceiling. The room was small (typical European hotel size) but perfectly laid out so you had everything you need. The common rooms are really prettily decorated. "

"I have stayed at the Madison Hotel before really loved it so came back with my friends. The location was perfect. The staff most helpful and friendly. I will always try to get a room here and only stay in other hotels when there is no vacancy. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Madison Hotel for several reasons: The rooms, though small, are spotless, well decorated, and we heard no outside noises. The breakfast, was abundant and delicious. The location just could not be beat...just steps from a metro stop and minutes by foot to the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. "

"Absolutely loved this boutique hotel in the heart of Saint Germain des Pres! Location was perfect, we were able to walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre and even the Eiffel Tower. We stayed in room 72, which was wonderfully appointed and decorated in a chic decor of black, white and red. Comfy bed, monogrammed robes and slippers, hand towels and... "

"I simply cannot say enough positive things about the Madison Hotel Paris! We arrived late due to an airline issue, the staff welcomed us with smiles and jokes, and our room was waiting for us, champagne and all. Cedric the concierge assured us that he and his extensive knowledge of Paris was at our disposal, should we need anything. Over the course of our stay, Cedric and Alexander (concierge as well), went above and beyond to assure that my fiancee and I had a memorable trip to the City of Lights. Whether it was calling a cab, making a restaurant recommendation or reservation, or simply greeting us each time with an enthusiastic "Bonsoir"!, the staff at the Madison made sure we were never lacking in our needs. They even offered my fiancee BandAids when we returned from a day trip with shoe bite. Room service was prompt and the food was delicious. The hotel's location is ideal for navigating not only the St. Germain neighborhood, but all of Paris (it is located close by to two different train lines plus the RER to Versailles). Numerous wonderful restaurants nearby 5-10 minutes walking distance, including Le Procope and Cafe de Flore. I will wrap up this review by simply stating: If you seek a centrally located boutique hotel with professional staff that do it all, look no further than the Madison. "

"Originally looked at this hotel but reserved something else. What a mistake. Once we arrived into Paris and saw the hotel/room we selected, we walked over to Madison Hotel Paris to see if they had a room available. Thank goodness they did. The hotel was perfect - the overall quality, the excellent service, and location that can't be beat. Hotel is a peaceful oasis in the middle of great food and shopping. I told my breath every vacation that I selected a great hotel.....this is the one to choose! Staff helped us with great reservations and gave solid advice. Would highly recommend! "

"This small hotel was the perfect choice for my lifelong friend and I. It was perfectly clean, well-designed, very well located, and comfortable. The employees were always pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. A taxi station is about 30 yards away. A metro station is just across the street. A currency exchange is about 50 yards away. Within view from our window were the famous Cafe Les Deux Magots and Cafe Flore. Close around the corner is Rue de Buci, where many sidewalk cafes are located and even a sweet light jazz quintet performing. Madison Hotel Paris 's tiny bar is very basic and is truly tiny, but that was perfectly fine with us. Quintessential Paris experience. "

"I stayed here with my partner and family during a recent trip to Paris. Firstly the location is excellent, especially if you are arriving via train. Both Gare du Nord and L'Est stations are on the metro line leading to the hotel. After arriving at Gare du Nord we were at the hotel in 20 minutes. The metro line is 1 minute walk from the hotel making transport throughout our stay in Paris very accessible. The Madison Hotel Paris is modern, clean and tidy, with the room having everything we needed, it was a short walk to many bars and restaurants in St Germain. We did not sample the breakfast. "

"This was my first visit to Paris and I was fortunate enough to have chosen a gem of a hotel for my inaugural visit. Situated on the south bank and in the middle of charming neighborhoods, upscale restaurants, shopping opportunities galore! With an incredibly attentive staff, the Madison Hotel Paris offers a perfect accommodation for all levels of experienced travelers. If you are seeking comfort, class and value...this property has it all...as well as location, location, location! "
