Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski * * * * *

Taschenberg, 3 , D-01067 - Dresden - Saxony - Germany
OPEN ALL YEAR

The history of the Hotel Taschenbergpalais traces back to the year 1705 when August the Strong commissioned his master architect Pöppelmann to design and construct a palace for his favorite concubine, Countess Cosel. The Palais soon evolved into a cultural centre, accommodating crowned princes and the king's most esteemed guests. Tragically, the building was destroyed during the Second World War and ruins were the only sign left of these magnificent times.
