La Taberna del Alabardero is a gently and stylishly restored mansion
that still radiates a certain fin-de-siecle elegance. The Hotel is
located in the heart of Sevilla, close to the best that this city has to
offer.
This mansion was the birthplace of the great 19th Century poet J.
Antonio Cavestany, member of the Real Academia Española and also is now
a very peculiar Hotel which holds 7 suites furnished with the latest
technological advances but without losing the elegance and classicism of
the beginning of the last century. Inside, the square layout includes an
attractive inner patio, bar and summer terrace on the ground floor. The
first floor of Taberna del Alabardero accommodates the excellent
restaurant, serving traditional and regional Spanish food, main hall and
four dining rooms for private meetings. The classically decorated
bedrooms are to be found on the third floor and all of them have great
views of the Seville’s beautiful and historic city centre.
The sun terrace also allows for splendid views of the historical part of
Seville, dominated as it is by the cathedral. Its excellent and popular
restaurant is run by Chef Juan Marcos, co-founder of The Taberna del
Alabardero establishments in Spain as well as in the United States.
