The hotel was conceived as a result of the entrepreneurial talents of
the whole family and the end result oozes harmony. Simplicity dominates
the exquisite interior decor, wood blending perfectly with fabrics such
as linen, cotton, natural tones and the collection of photos which
decorate the passageways and bedrooms. The avant-garde furniture was
designed by Carlos Alvarez and made by local cabinet makers.
Some of the bedrooms have a private balcony and all have modern comforts
such as telephone, satellite TV, safe, hair dryer and mini-bar. The two
suites both have a sitting room, one has a large balcony and the
bathrooms are another focal point with their circular layout and hydro
massage bath. On the ground floor there is a dining room and lounge with
an open fire and library. The garden has centenary trees, a pond and the
river, the water from which is used to water the garden. Non-smoking
hotel since June 2005.
The Cuisine is headed up by Isabel Santovenia, using produce from the
kitchen garden, locally produced meat and fish from local ports. Daily
menu. Only evening meals served.
