Hotel Allegro is an elegant and modern business and lifestyle 4-star superior property with 171 rooms located across the bridge to the Old Town with the arcaded shopping streets.

All standard rooms are modern with stylish furniture (Asian or Broadway Style) and located in the interior of the hotel. The bathroom has a bathtub including shower and a hair-dryer. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, video, ISDN-phone with answering machine and analog and ISDN connection for modem/fax, coffee and tea-maker. All rooms feature queen or king-size double-beds; smoking or non-smoking rooms are available on request.

The Hotel Allegro is affiliated with the "Kursaal", the largest and most sophisticated convention center in Berne and the "Grand Casino". The "Kursaal" is under a complete upgrade and refurbishment of the conference- and banqueting facilities including the Foyer and, above all, the well known ARENA which can accommodate up to 1500 persons for events and gala dinners. Renovations at the “Kursaal” are planned in several stages and will be completed in July 2012. The operation of the Hotel Allegro, the restaurants, the conference rooms within the hotel complex as well as the Grand Casino Bern will not be directly affected. From October onwards, some minor emissions may occur on the 5th floor of the hotel during the improvement of the Foyer. Of course guests will be fully informed about this and the Hotel Allegro will do all possible to keep the inconveniences to a minimum.

Other facilities at the Hotel Allegro include 3 restaurants: the "Allegretto" for international cuisine, the “Yu” for modern Chinese cuisine, and the "Meridiano" (with 16 Gault Millaut stars) for fine Mediterranean cuisine, 2 bars and 3 terraces.
